Whether you’re just passing through, on an extended stay, or a long-term resident, yoga offerings in Bangkok abound, and just may prove to be the physical and spiritual solution for balance in this chaotic space. Check out any one of these studios to begin a new journey or keep the flow.
IYENGAR YOGA Studio Bangkok
Established in October 1999, Iyengar Yoga Bangkok is the first accredited center to teach this specialized form of yoga in Thailand.
Founder Justin Herold, continually trains with the Iyengar family in India. Instructors at Iyengar Yoga Bangkok have between eight and 29 years of experience teaching and offer classes in four levels. Pranayama is introduced straight away in level one where poses are expanded then become more challenging in later levels.
The highest two levels require teacher permission to attend, ensuring that you will be placed in a suitable class to develop in the art and practice of yoga. They run classes every day of the week, morning and evening, and include a class for children on Saturdays.
All the teachers at Lullaby Yoga are registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. They provide classes in Vinyasa Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Prenatal, and Iyengar Yoga. There are classes where students can work independently on poses and the teacher will address individual concerns and difficulties.
Workshops and intensive courses are also available for teachers to become more advanced yoga professionals in vinyasa, prenatal, and postnatal yoga. They have two locations and are open Monday to Sunday, morning to evening.
Located on the seventh story with floor-to-ceiling windows, Yoga Elements provides classes with stunning views of the neighborhood.
They offer Ashtanga-Vinyasa style yoga in four different classes based on level of experience.
They also provide workshops, teacher training, one-on-one classes, osteopathy, chiromassage, and Qigong therapy. Mentioned in Lonely Planet, Tripadvisor, and Travel + Leisure, Yoga Elements is well-known and has many positive reviews.

ABSOLUTE YOU Yoga Studio
With 13 sites located throughout Bangkok, Absolute You was the first Hot Yoga studio to open in Thailand. This large operation serves customers seven days a week, with over 60 classes.
Their classes fall into two levels: ‘all levels’ and ‘intermediate’ for students who have practiced a minimum of 20 yoga classes. They teach Bikram, Hot, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin-Yang yoga.
Their signature class, Absolute Fit, mixes yoga with cardio workouts, while their Yoga-Pilates class combines vinyasa flow and Pilates mat work.
Yoga Fly is a combination of yoga, pilates, dance, and aerial acrobatics. Patricia Duchaussoy, the founder of Yoga Fly, also known as Body Fly, opened the first professional Pilates studio, Pilates Station, in Thailand, which became the headquarters of Body Fly International Academy.
They are the regional training center responsible for the development and professional recognition of Yoga Fly, both in Thailand and internationally. Pilates Station Bangkok provides group and one-on-one Body Fly classes, workshops, and instructor certification.
Their Yoga Fly classes are available in two levels. Beginners join the Yoga Fly Discovery, and for those who have obtained a minimum of 10 previous practices, Yoga Fly Open is a good fit.
With over 50 classes per week, Divine Yoga also provides yoga therapy designed for the prevention, cure, and rehabilitation of physical, mental, and emotional problems. Drawing on over 13 years of experience, director and co-founder, Master Sanjiv has helped over 500,000 people through yoga.
Divine Yoga offers classes in three levels, from beginners to advanced, in a variety of styles.
They also offer meditation, mantra chanting, yoga darshan, workshops, prenatal and postnatal yoga, and kids classes. Classes are held in groups or privately.
THEO LIVING YOGA
Theo Living Yoga provides classes in chakra balancing, fertility, Kundalini Yoga, Ashtanga, and Shivananda.
They also provide workshops, teacher training, yoga for children, meditation courses, and private healing consultations.
Theo Living Yoga is the only facility in Thailand to offer aura scanning, using interactive multimedia technology, mapping your aura with bio-data graphs that show your levels of emotions, energy, and stress.

ROOT 8 YOGA
Root 8 Yoga provides daily classes for beginner and intermediate practitioners, in Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Shivananda styles.
They have their own signature Root 8 series class, which is Director Master Vivek’s own asanas sequence.
Classes are held in groups or privately. This is the only site on this list to have a free beginners hatha yoga class every Saturday. Breathing, asana, flexibility, and relaxation, are fundamentals of yoga and are introduced to newcomers.
Students can choose from 42 classes each week. There are also classes that do not require a reservation, so feel to drop-in. Originating and trained in India, Master Vivek’s studio provides an authentic experience, right down to the on-site Indian restaurant.
Yoga Sutra has been around for 15 years and has taught 11,000 members hatha, power, ashtanga, vinyasa, and flow yoga.
They provide classes for members as a group, individually, and privately for corporations.
They also offer prenatal and kids sessions. Available for all levels, classes are held Monday through Sunday. Amenities, such as a yoga mat, water, and snacks, are included in the price. Located on the 32nd floor, Yoga Sutra is affectionately known as the ‘sanctuary of the sky’.

Rana Yoga is a small studio and limits participation to just 15 students per class. They offer sun series, Hatha, hot, and Power Yoga, with an emphasis on asana, pranayama, and meditation.
The intimate space allows close supervision of classes and encourages a friendly, casual atmosphere.
Classes are delivered Monday to Saturday and the schedule can be found on their facebook page or through Guava Pass. It has received many rave reviews.
Not only does yoga have positive clinical-research backing, but it is also a centuries-old practice. Combining the body, mind, and spirit, yoga is seen as a way of life.
